Try this cute and simple craft with your students during my favorite season: SPOOKY SEASON!
Paper Plate Spider

Materials:
- white paper plates (with no coating- otherwise it’s hard to paint on) or a black paper plate.
- glue, staples, or tape
- black paint (I used acrylic, but you may want to use washable paint with kiddos)
- white paint pen, googly eyes, or white paper for eyes
- black pipe cleaners or black construction paper for legs
Instructions:
- Paint your paper plate black and let dry (unless you’re using black plates).
- For legs: use 4 black pipe cleaners cut in 1/2 or cut 8 strips of black construction paper to your desired width and length then accordion fold it and affix to back of spider.
- Use googly eyes or a paint pen for eyes and mouth
- Viola! A cute spider! Bonus- add a 1/2 writing page on the back with spider facts.
