Paper Plate Spider

Materials:

  • white paper plates (with no coating- otherwise it’s hard to paint on) or a black paper plate.
  • glue, staples, or tape
  • black paint (I used acrylic, but you may want to use washable paint with kiddos)
  • white paint pen, googly eyes, or white paper for eyes
  • black pipe cleaners or black construction paper for legs

Instructions:

  • Paint your paper plate black and let dry (unless you’re using black plates).
  • For legs: use 4 black pipe cleaners cut in 1/2 or cut 8 strips of black construction paper to your desired width and length then accordion fold it and affix to back of spider.
  • Use googly eyes or a paint pen for eyes and mouth
  • Viola! A cute spider! Bonus- add a 1/2 writing page on the back with spider facts.
