APPLE PRINT ART
Cut an apple in half, paint on the apple or dip, and press on art paper! Simple.
APPLE TASTE AND GRAPH

Slice up red, yellow, and green apples. Have students make observations about the apples using their 5 senses. You can record the words or just discuss.

Taste and pick a favorite. Have students decide which is their favorite. Chart and/or graph each students.
Make books or write about the apples!
JOHNNY APPLESEED WRITING CRAFTIVITY

Make a Johnny Appleseed bust and write a fact or two about him to go with it.
MAKE APPLESAUCE
Bring a crockpot to class and let some apples simmer all morning for a homemade apple treat!

Crockpot Applesauce Recipe
Ingredients:
• 9-10 medium sized apples of your choice
• 1/3 TBS lemon juice
• 1/3-1/2 cup water (or more for less thick sauce)
• OPTIONAL: 1/2 tsp cinnamon (other optional flavors: vanilla, brown sugar, orange rind, etc.)
Instructions:
•Chop apples into large chunks. You can peel apples, but it is not necessary.
•Add all ingredients into the slow cooker.
•Cook on high for 3-4 hours.
•Mash until smooth or stir for a chunkier applesauce when cooking is complete.
•Eat and enjoy!
•Store in the fridge for 4-5 days or freeze.
APPLE PARTS SORTING

Cut apart an apple and sort the parts. Students can sort the apples on their paper or do together and draw the parts on the paper.
APPLE TREAT TASTING

Try a variety of items made with apples, like: apple juice, apple cider, apple donuts, applesauce, apple butter, etc. Graph and write about your favorites.
